A CARD

STEAMER DEMOPOLIS, June 19, 1861

            We, the undersigned volunteers from the Interior, desire to express our most heartfelt thanks to Capt. ____, the kind and courteous commander of the steamer Demopolis for his liberality in bringing us to the city free of charge.

            We also hope that this act of kindness, together with many others, will entitle him as he justly deserves, to the support of the planters.
