PRAISWORTHY
AND PATRIOTIC—The Atlanta (Ga.) Intelligencer learns that it is the intention
of the members of Congress and the Cabinet of the Provisional Government to
imitate the example of Mr. Yancey, and pay into the common treasury the amount
of their salaries during the war. It is
said that the principal office holders, who can afford it, intend to receive
only half for the benefit of the volunteers.
