HON. JOHN BRECKENRIDGE—A letter on business to the editor, of the Richmond Enquirer from Cadis, Kentucky, dated the 7th inst., says:
I see that some of the Virginia papers are laboring under misapprehension about Major Breckenridge’s position. He is as one a Southern man as the light of heaven has ever shone upon. I know this to be so, for I was with him several days last week and heard him make three speeches, and I know his position is as sound as that of Gov. Wise, or Jeff Davis himself. He is laboring now every day to drive Kentucky from the cowardly position she has assumed, and many of us here do hope that he may finally be successful.
