CHANGED HIS NAME- The Shreveport Gazette says that an officer from that place took a servant, named Abram, with him to the war.  On arriving in New Orleans Abram began to look around for Gov. Moore, to get him to change his name; but not finding the Governor, he took the responsibility himself, and changed his name to “Pete” saying he weren’t “gwine to be named like old Abe Linkum.”
