            Sergeant Chas. H. Chapman, of the Salter Guards, New Orleans, was accidentally shot and killed in that city on Friday last.  A pistol fell from the belt of a private of the company, and striking the floor exploded, driving the ball into Chapman’s heart, who fell dead instantly.
