THE
SOLDIERS AND COL. VANCE. – We have seen, says the Fayetteville Observer, a
letter from G. A. Downing of the Cumberland Plow Boys, Col. Clark’s Regiment,
in which he says:
“I
hope every body about home will vote for Col. Vance for Governor. He is in our Brigade, and one of the best men
in the world. His men love him. He will get an unanimous vote among the
soldiers where he is known.”
