Deaths.
Died.
– In the Hospital at Richmond, Va., July 15th, John Watson Yates,
from a wound received in the battle before Richmond. The deceased was a native of Guilford, eldest
son of Henry Yates, deceased. Soon after
the breaking out of the war, Mr. Yates volunteered in Capt. C. C. Cole’s
Company, and acted nobly his part as a good and faithful soldier.
