Mr. Sherwood:--Permit me through your paper, to acknowledge the receipt of, and return thanks for a large and excellent lot of blankets and quilts, sent to my company by the good people of Guilford.

As the names of the donors were not given, I thus publicly acknowledge the good deed done in the dark.
