Died—In camp at Weldon, on the 18^th of August, W. H. Jones in the 21^st year of his age. Another of our companions is gone. May his name ever remain green in our memories. In his death the officers of his company have lost one always respectful, obedient, ever ready to do their commands, his comrades a pleasant associate, and the country a good and brave soldier.
