Died—In this town, of typhoid fever, on
Monday, 22nd instant, Mrs. Elizabeth
Boon, wife of Col. C. A. Boon, aged 48 years.
Her sufferings while on the bed of affliction were severe, yet they were
borne without a murmur. And while her
bereaved husband and children mourn the death of an affectionate wife and kind
mother, and the community the loss of a most estimable lady in all her
relations of life, yet they sorrow not as those without hope.
A
number of obituaries, tributes of respect, lists of donations, etc., are
unavoidably crowded out of this issue.
They will appear in our next.
