A
PATRIOTIC FAMILY—Gen. Joseph Graham of Lincoln
county, N. C., has left a name renowned in history as a Revolutionary
hero. His mantle has fallen upon his
descendants. His youngest son, ex-Gov.
Wm. A. Graham, (who we have thought ought
to be a General, and would have been if he were of the office-seeking sort)
has five sons in the Army. His sister,
the youngest daughter of Gen. Graham, and wife of Rev. Dr. Robert H. Morrison,
has two sons and four sons-in-law in the service, two of the latter being
“Bethel” Hill and “Stonewall” Jackson.
This is a record hard to beat.
