THE SIXTH REGIMENT
The
sixth Regiment, which has been recruited under the efficient and liberal
management of Colonel Charles F. Fisher, left the Company’s Shops in Alamance
on Monday morning last in a special train, for the rest of the war. A large portion of the ladies and citizens of
the town, and many from the country around, assembled at the depot in this
place to cheer them as they passed. The
