Capt.
J. A. Cowan died at his home in Martin Township last Sunday morning, at 2
o’clock, after an illness of several weeks.
His remains were interred at Barker’s Creek Church on Monday, Rev. D. W.
Hiott conducting the funeral services. Capt. Cowan was well known throughout this
County, and his friends will regret to hear of his death. He leaves a wife and several children to
mourn his death.
