POSITIONS OF TROOPS—A South Carolina soldier, of Col. Kershaw’s Regiment, writing from Bull Run on the 18th ult., says:

In one and a half miles of us are Col. Bacon’s and a Mississippi and an Alabama Regiment, [Col. Rhodes’ we presume—Ed.] on our right.  Col. Cash’s Regiment is at Centreville, three miles; Col. Gregg’s near Alexandria.  Lots of soldiers all about.  So, friends, you may rest assured that we are going to do something, and that in a few days.
