From the date of our last issue to the time we commence this article, there has been no battle of importance, but events daily transpiring point to an early engagement all around.

Gen. Johnston has ordered all the women at Manassas to be sent back to the rear, with all the sick from the hospitals, and it is said our army is falling back from Centreville. Whether an advance of McClellan is anticipated, or that Johnston intends an advance, is unknown, but some movement is anticipated.
