The ten thousand men for Wise’s “Legion of the Northwest,” are nearly all enlisted. They were mostly recruited among the mountains, and when old “Gizzard Foot” does get under way he will sweep the Pan Handle like a tornado. The only risk is that the fiery spirited man will be too daring, and whip his way into some cul de sac that even he cannot whip his way out of. That’s what we fear for glorious old Wise. Anybody who really wants to fight can be accommodated under his banner.
