Mississippi Gallantry.

-------

Capt. T. G. Loughridge, of the Garlandsville (Miss.) Rangers, having seen in the newspapers a reported landing of troops at Portersville from Lincoln’s pirate fleet in the Gulf, has written to our Mayor offering the services of his company to aid in driving them from the coast or in defending Mobile if needed.  Capt. L. commands a mounted company and offers to come at a moment’s notice.  This gallant offer has been suitably acknowledged.
