HEARTT: By reference to the accompanying communication from Col. C. F. Fisher,
you will see I have been constituted his organ for the purpose therein
expressed.[sic]
In
discharging the agreeable duty, it is impossible for me personally to wait upon
all the good ladies who deserve a share of the Colonel’s commendation. I have therefore thought it best to ask the
favor of you to publish his letter with this in your issue this week, and
