Death of President Tyler.
Hon.
John Tyler, ex-President of the United States,
died at Richmond, Va., on Friday the 17th
instant. He was over 70 years of age,
but his mind was still vigorous. He had
been elected to a seat in the Permanent Confederate Congress, and was spoken of
as the probable Speaker of that body, when it shall assemble.
